Natasha Swift

Natasha is an experienced Registered Social Worker, holding a Masters of Clinical Social Work and boasting over 15 years in the field. She's dedicated her career to supporting both adults and youth, offering counselling and crisis intervention services focused on mental health.

Her approach revolves around nurturing relationships and holistic well-being. Natasha helps individuals tackle personal hurdles, specializing in trauma, mood, anxiety, substance use, and personality-related issues.

What sets Natasha apart is her diverse counselling approach. She combines person-centred therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing to tailor her support. Additionally, her expertise extends to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Natasha is a Registered Social Worker recognized by the Alberta College of Social Workers. She completed her Masters in Clinical Social Work at the University of Calgary in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta, alongside a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of British Columbia.

Her experience includes roles within the justice system and diverse healthcare settings such as acute care, continuing care, and community mental health. Natasha has collaborated with Emergency Medical Services and Edmonton Police Services for community mental health assessments. Additionally, she has recently completed training in Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Natasha has also served as a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and contributed to an independent psychiatric practice. Her transition to private practice reflects her ongoing dedication to learning and providing comprehensive care to the community.
